HPI has their place in the market, and that is in the expensive toy section. Hell I tried to get one to perform for a long time and gave it up as a bad joke, so I know how poor they are for racing first hand.

The best part of this forum is goblins are not tolerated by members or forum moderators.

Just an MTX-4

I ordered my MTX-5 a year ago and have been running it for 6 months.

Bullshat nitrodude... its common knowlege that there is no NTC4... they skipped it to NTC5 to keep up with mugen and Yokomos car numbering......

ok, i have pretty much gathered that the hpi bashing thing is more geared towards people who dont belong here. not the cars.. although from the sound of things, the cars arent exactly everyones favorite. i think there is a bit to much plastic on it so far.. and i definetly dont think it is race ready. what are the differences in higher class cars? the main difference i have noticed is that they arent as available where i live. all i see is hpi and traxxis. i was more attracted to hpi.. and hey for the most part it probabally is better that i got that to start with as i learn to drive the car and care for the engine. one question i have is do you guys with mugen serpent and yokomo cars have trouble getting parts when they break? and does mugen have anything to do with the aftermarket honda company or does it just share the same name? im kinda pissed, because i thought i was getting quality when i got my rs4 3.. not a "geo metro" or some shit.

nope. If you need parts just call Speedtech. They have everything in stock at most times and are very fast with their delivery time

whaturi,

Dont worry, HPI's are good for just starting out, and I dont think anyone on this forum has problems with people with real questions, just people that lie and talk BS. This forum is to help people not BS people.

Oh and also, I dont think Mugen the RC car company has anything to do with the Honda aftermarket company.

BTW, modellor, you've raced against the 705, what impression did you get from racing against it?

I don't think modellor raced with the 705s. It was just Impulse PROs. Serpent just displayed the 705 for the people to ogle at the race. I think that was the one Mark Green used.

Thanks InitailD. You got there before me. Yeah, they only had it on show for us to look at. Real nice piece of equipment though. Far different to the pics everyone is seeing.
