Is there anywhere spectators can hang out to watch the races? Have never been up to the track

While there are not any stands to sit in, there is plenty of space on half the perimeter of the track to spectate.
Bring a chair, sunscreen and a few bucks for refreshments. Generally, the local scouting troop setup shop and have dogs, burgers, soft drinks and mild snacks. There is also fast food nearby and a couple convenience stores close.

At least the scouts use this as a fund raiser.

Exclamation

Now that the GLC is finished, the focus is now on the Nationals. The event begins in just 23 days, so get those entries in ASAP to avoid the late fee after September 8.

You can enter at ROAR Racing

For those that wish to participate in the 1/8 Pan Car class, entries must be made directly to the Racers of Toledo. Contact info is [email protected] / (419) 215-4819 / (419) 690-2520.

The race flyer has been added to the first post in this thread.

Detroit DTW is about an hour away.
Toledo Express (TOL) is about 30 min away.

DTW will have a lot more flight options.
Only Allegiant and American (to Chicago) fly out of Toledo. If you don't mind the layover and Airline change it can be cheaper to fly into TOL

Default 2019 ROAR Paved OnRoad Nitro Nationals

Here is some valuable information for those that are looking for pit spaces. One-Eighth Scale Racers of Toledo have two very large metal canopies that are used for pitting the cars. There are some large tables already installed in these canopies and chairs will be provided if you pit in one of these canopies. ROAR has been handling the entries for the race, but the use of the pit canopies was not covered on their entry form. So you can pit there by making arrangements with the host club. Here is how you do it. First off, the cost is $20 per space. You must send an email to the club POC at the following email address: [email protected]

You must provide your name, sponsoring mfr (if you have one), and contact information if you want to pay with PayPal. That way the POC can send you a PayPal invoice. But you need to send him that email with the proper information so he can send the invoice. If you want to pay by another method, put that in the email so the POC knows what to expect. That gives him a chance to offer another alternative if your method does not work for the host club. But your spot is not reserved till the payment has been received. The sponsoring mfr info is so that the host club can locate your pit space among the others on the same team. All spaces will be identified when you arrive so that once you find your spot, you are good to go for the weekend.

IMPORTANT - All these spaces are on a first come first serve basis. There is no deadline to request a pit space. You have the choice to pay ahead of time and be guaranteed a spot or you can pay when you first arrive at the track. It is possible that there will not be enough spaces under the canopies to house everyone that comes to race. When they are gone, sorry but they are gone.

To everyone that doesn't know, this is Skip Starkey. He is a multi-champion of the 1/8 Masters class at the Great Lakes Challenge, just winning again last weekend. Will he return to claim the ROAR 1/8 Scale Nitro Masters Championship at this race? ??????????

This Murnan dude modifies engines so you go faster around the track. Many people use his services and they run great on the Toledo track. Do you have a Murnan Modified in your car for the Nationals?
