Default Engine break-in question

Just had a question and have been wondering more about this lately after watching several videos. Why does it appear that most nitro bashers, car or truck, break the engine in while driving, while every person breaking in an engine that races leave the car on a stand?

I thought the idea was to get the engine broken in with a load on the engine to somewhat mimic driving conditions. But it seems there really isn't a "best" method. what do you think?

Just read the break in topic in the engine subforum and you will see that there are 1001 methodes and there is no scientific proove of what is the best. Most important of all is start slow with a rich setting and slowly build up the performance

The best way is to pay a reputable modder to both mod and break in the engine for you, and then always preheat your engine before startup: it saved me alot of headaches !!!

No, the best way is to learn by himself, and I'm really not sure why he would need it modded.
