Nitro RS4 3 Type SS -------------- is this a good car, im farelly new to R/C but i have friends who have assembled and drive R/C cars alot i am going to get the saleen s7 body, plz tell me what you seriously think of the car if you want to know what it looks like go to www.hpiracing.com and then click kits and its the first one on the top

It is a great car to learn on, I would get it. My 1st Nitro car was a HPI kit ;)

Great car but the rings and piston sleeve on the engine will need to be replaced after a couple of gallons of fuel. At that time change to the Novarossi 1.2 engine. Don't worry about the carburator yet until you learn how to drive it and replace the engine when the compression gets low on the HPI engine and it becomes hard to start and keep at idle. Read the instructions on engine break in and after the break in period change the glow plug. Do you plan to run on a race track or on the street? If you plan to run with the big boys you will need a few option parts for better handling. I have 2 HPI cars (the origional Nitro RS4 and the Nitro RS4 Racer 2) and will now purchase the Racer 3. They are excellent.
