Default anybody try out this engine???

to all the racers-

well, it's that time again to get a new engine. i've been through the whole 15fe issue and have been through with it. i've just ran my last run with the hb.18 engine, and for 89 bucks you just can't go wrong. good torque and i've never had an overheating problem with it. i've ran 5 gallons through it and now it has no compression. i currently run a tamiya fs12, which is even more dissapointing compared to the 15fe.
back to the point though.
has anybody tried out the yokomo rx-12 engine? and is there a type version available because i've ran across it on the net a few times. i want to get a new engine, but don't wanna cough up a lot of money. the engine is only 60 bucks and a p/s also. so if anybody has it or knows anything about it, just drop your two cents on it.

Default HB 18

ive ran the RX18 engine i found it alot better very quick but i lost all compression in mine as well. it ran for about six months then i had to change my p/s as it was knackered.
it cost me 25 pounds in the UK but i had to wait for a month as no one had it in stock. But i change my % on my fuel from 20% to 16% it is fine i found it hard to get it set up perfect but that was due to running it in abit longer.
I ran it in a HPI RS4 2 it was very fast i was impressed with the engine.
My friend has also purchased the HB18 engine for his Nitro Super Rally but hasnt yet started it up.
the only thing i was dissappointed in is the carb it would of been nicer if they did something about the carb your limited to setting it up, i have been thinking of placing a slide carb on mine see if it runs better,
also the pullstarts & one way bearing etc is all the same as a 15fe engine so if you have an old engine spare to strip it saves money in buying parts for it
