Was looking at the pre race packet the other night. Noticed there is a tire truing area and have a question. Does this area have any kinda of 12v power supply or do drivers have to provide their own??

Hello P2gee, I'm glad someone actually looked at that packet!

Yes, we have 12v power for the trueing stations (3 stations), and around our storage area you will find 3 individual air hoses for cleaning, as well as a body cleaning area (two tubs, one with soap and water, the other with just water).

The original DOME body (FMB01) is approved through the end of the year. ROAR used the EFRA approval number (31486) on the website since this is what is etched into the body near the cockpit.

I just got word yesterday from ROAR that our new DOME (FMB02), which has been narrowed in the rear to 267mm to conform to ROAR 2007 rules, is also approved for the Nationals. This has an EFRA # of (31486A). We've been shipping that body for about six weeks now. ROAR says all this should be on the website by the end of the week and FMB01 will be appended to the EFRA # on the website.

FYI, We will no longer be importing the FMB01 body.

See everyone at the nationals.

To all the Cincy regulars.....

What should we be expecting for tire wear in a 5 minute heat (running 38's)?

It's different for everyone, and I wear tires a little more than most (I like to be a little loose, with a touch of push before "Traction Roll" through the corners), at about a 1 to 1.5mm for a warm-up and qualifer. So, (7-10 minutes) on 38 shore. Beginning at 68/74 Front to Rear, of course if you like them smaller, their likely to wear a little faster

Looking forward to Racing in Cinncy again.

Dennis
Could you explain how qualifying points system works. Points awarded, drops, etc.

Bill

I think it works just like last years Nat's. 3 or 4 of your best qualifiers count towards your points. Points are awarded based on each of your rounds finishing position. Lowest points being the best. TQ in each round gets one point and +1 point on down the line...... It pays to finish well in all of your qualifiers vs. having one good run out of 6 heats.

Then they set up a X-Mas tree ladder..... even qualifiers on one side, odds on another. If you finish first in lets say the 1/32 "even" ladder, then you can bump up as the last position in to the 1/16th "even" ladder.
