It would be interesting if GTP bodies were raced on the National scale. Itd be cool for just club for now though

If you can hang you can run your gtp body on a national scale against the 235 4wd open cars under ROAR rules. You will need to be carrying more corner speed than the 235's if your car is light though because they don't appreciate a 200mm hanging with them

Trackdesigner. You need to ask Steve about the shell. He has all the details.

But like Patella said, enter into the 235mm class with it and hope the track is twisty and technical. The 200mm has the advantage in this layout over the 235mm. But they sure dont like a smaller 200mm car being able to hang with them. I know I wouldnt. Would make me question why I was spending $300+ on a modded .15 race engine for a .12 to out run it

The Serpent Team in the UK ran the 200mm with the 235mm last year and did very well against them constantly making the Main final and outpowering a lot if not all the 235mm cars during the finals.

Yeah. Still in business. The shells are available. Once I get a domain name sorted the website will be up. Email for any enquiries.

Here in the UK the 200mm class is split in to two.
1. sedan shells with three port motors and rubber tyres
2. GTP / LOLA shells with 5 port turbo motors and foam tyres

The 200mm foam cars race in the same meetings as the 235mm but in their own heats with their own championship.

I run in the 200mm foam clas and would be interested to see a new range of GTP / LOLA style shells for the class

Bob

I just got a lola style shell from CML but as you say there are only 2 available, closed and open cockpit type.

Are you running the V-1-R or RR? I have the RR and am changing from the rubber tyres to the foam

cheers

In Malaysia its like everyone uses a Lola shell ... now we have the lastest called LOLETTA. Its a more radical design in terms of down force. Made by FREWER INTERNATIONAL from NZ.

The front wheel arches are higher. Adjustable rear wing like 1/8 style. Add on side-wings that seems to be higher.

Not bad huh? Looks like things are getting outta hand!!!
