any ideas what the rules are going to be for gt ? I know there are new rules in the works with bodies and a few others but checked roar website and could not find

They will be running the iftar world spec body rules this year. Tried to use them last year but not enough available bodies that fit that rule set. But they are highly available now so I'm sure they will be used.

What are the tire rules for sedan and 1/8 open? Are they open tires?

Yes, only GT uses spec tires. These are provided by Sweep Tires
