Default Merlin Plugs-good? Bad? Compatible with? Stay away?

I bought a couple last week to try in my new Nova Ison GT. It's definitely a turbo plug, but looks a little different than the Nova plug. Haven't installed one and have yet to even run the engine at all. I'm also not a super confident nitro guy.

Anyone ever used that brand, or should I just stick to the recommended Nova plug?

Run only Nova Rossi or OS Plugs. Don't jeopardize $300 engine for plugs that are unknown in the nitro racing world they might be OK for airplanes but not for RC car engines

Are you talking from an own experience?

I have runned Merling plugs w/o any issues in a novarossi.
Merlin claims their plugs are actually a half degree colder so a 7 is like a 7.5 compared with a Novarossi. They run awesome, reliable and when the coil is broken it never drops in the engine, the wire has a good solid weld with the plug its body.

So there's a caveat to this. The taper on the plugs is a tad different. You CAN run an O.S plug in a Nova, but it'll warp the head button and until you replace it , you won't be able to use Nova plugs again

Look, I didn't post this question to dive into the this is best, that sucks opinion pool.

Just wanted to know if anyone had good or bad experiences with this certain brand plug in a Nova engine. I got one answer to that effect, thanks.

If anyone else has had any personal experience with these plugs, please, share. I didn't expect to get a ton of feedback, but I was hooping to avoid the opinion pool.

Thanks.

I’ve used Merlin’s standard glow plugs. Top notch quality. No qualms using them - and they’re better than the Asian stuff by a mile. Cheaper than the Asian stuff too.
