I was wondering if any of you guys ever made your own starterbox ? If so, what materials did you use ?

I took a HOBBICO airplane starter change the wheels and mtd it in a 1/2 plywood box. Just make the box so the wheel sticks up out of the top of it about 3/8 of an inch. I start both 1/10 and 1/8 scale cars with it. I also mtd. a 1 1/2 volt dry cell bat. inside and hooked the glow plg ignitor to it. The bat. for the ignitor lasted all season. Total cost about $40.
