Default Need Transponder help

Hi, I am looking to buy a personal transponder (and on a budget). I noticed there are a few different brands like Mylaps and amb. Are they all compatible with all tracks? Is there a brand I should shy away from?

Have you heard of MRT? Do they work on all tracks?

Basically AMB and Mylaps are the same company. MRT are a different company that make transponders that work with the older version of Mylaps software. You have to check with your track to see if they've updated their software if so the older AMB and the MRT transponders won't work. If not then they usually do just fine. I have a mixture of all 3 kinds and they all work at my track.

I think I have 5 of them. When Racing nitro classes with a radio box, it’s quite the pain to swap them out. When I build a new car, I just add that into the expense.

RC4 just got mine today... now Figurine where to put it in my B64. Manual for the MYLAPS says mounting on carbon fiber and metal will lower signal strength... Running out of options on mounting it..

Unless you're planning on mounting it to a lead plate, it'll be just fine. I don't think anyone has ever had signal issues with them mounting to what the majority of competition chassis's are made out of

I have actually had major problems. Removed it from carbon and the hit rate improved immediately. So avoid if possible
