Is the new rear parts compatible with the original chassis?

No. The chassis is narrower in the rear. But there will be an upgrade kit to convert it into an 18

I’m still trying to sell mine. Need to decide if it’s worth it to convert and sell or sell as is.

If you convert it and sell it you will never get the the cost of the conversion back, it wont add value to it. Might as well sell as it is and let the buyer worry about the conversion

Default The Infinity 18 conversion kit

I just ordered the Infinity 17 and decided to just buy the conversion kit, which comes with the .08 module clutch system! The chassis being narrower in the rear makes for more traction at higher speeds!

It would be great if Infinity did a 1/8th electric version of it to rival the Serpent 977e.

That is a small niche market, very small to be exact! I would not hold my breath.

Aside from Germany and Italy no one really runs the 6S monsters. Mugen have not made one either, and Pietsch runs at the same tracks the 1:8 E class runs as well. The few 1:8 E cars in the states, I would be surprised if they ever been on the same track as of yet.

In the UK it is a growing scene and the numbers at the National reach events are around half those of those nitro entrants and are growing. We run 4S.

I agree that in the scheme of things it is a niche market but then again so is the nitro 1/8 scene in the uk. Over 2017 there were only just over 50 IC drivers who ran during the years series with up to about 30 IC drivers at each event.
