Will regular 8th Scale Wheels and Foam Tires fit this car?

It apears that the wheels mount with nuts instead of the keepers that the regular 1/8th cars use. They may work for this car as well though, IDN.

Cool, I am trying to talk the wife into coming out for that one. We will see what happens and if I can get the time off of work. It will be nice to see everyone if I do make it.

mistercrash, you're not supposed to hit the boards (2x4's) with it

but it does look really cool

the concept came out in 2004. From what I recall, it had veteq stuff on it. Interesting to see some day.

I can only wonder why there are 2 options, both preassembled? And wouldn't you need to get the engine anyway? Since it requires the special head and exhaust setup?

Man that thing rocks

PROPS to them doing the old F1 trick of doign inboard brake disks connected via drive shafts.

I will never be able to afford one... but wow would I like to. So when the Spektrum "Traction control / Launch control" box coming out ? hehe in those 1/5th scale cars, they are spark ignition... hmm spark cuts for traction control on the detection of wheel spin - cummon the technology is there!

Default Great Work!

Looks very , very good!

The future looks orange:
-The Dutch A1GP team runs a orange car
-Mercedes McLaren F1 runs orange bodies now
-Last but not least: Serpent launches a 1:8 F1 car...and the body colour has to be orange ofcourse...

Some time ago I read an article about a guy who was building a car like that, with the same laydown engine design. But AFAIK not the same refinement (brakes, suspension) as the Serpent.
I wonder how long it takes before we will see copies from the east...

Next week it will be on MyTSN.....
Paolo..you announced new improved conrods for the ZX12 some time ago...I don't hear much about it anymore, and no announcement on myTSN.
I put you announcement from here on the myTSN forum (many people were complaining about the conrods....) but didn't see any reaction.
Too busy with the F1 car?

Oh my god!

This thing makes wonder what I should sell to be able to afford one of those! I've heard the rumors of a Serpent 1:8Th F1 for a pretty long time, but this was better than I've ever hoped for! Damn thing is that I probably can't afford, has to hope that someone at the track buys one at least

Yeah I know 2X4s are not supposed to be hit. But it happens to the best of us. There's a lot of things I'm not supposed to do but I do them anyway

I hope Serpent DOES promote it as a racing class. It'll be a shame for a nitro F1 1/8th scale car to just sit on the shelf.

I need one badly! On the other hand, I've been following the "development" of this thing for nearly 2 years now. The car was shown at some of last year's hobby shows but with the engine upright and no front brakes. c'mon Serpent GYAintoG!
