i want to put a note out there for the stock body.

the kit comes with 3 different front body post. there are 2 for the front.. a short one, that the manual says to use, and one that is slightly longer, but not the longest.

if you want to use the stock body, you need to use the middle body post on the front shock tower, not the short ones that the manual shows you to use.

i personally, think the middle front post will also help with using other bodies as well.

But for sure the stock body wont work with the short front mounts if you use the stock dimples in the hood of the body.

Has anyone figured out how to lock the rear end down on these? Tempted to try one but it took a while for me to get enough rear traction on my mugen. How is the handling compared to mugen? Is the fuel tank more consistent?

Move the rear hubs forward so there's more weight over the rear wheels
2.6 R sawaybar.
Lower the rear link on the tower
If that's still. It enough bump the front shock oil up 100-200cst

Compared the the Mugen the XT8 has more off power steering. It's very drivable and takes the tough well. I was driving a Mugen before this and the XT8 feels very responsive.

Drive my XT8 last night. Truck was way faster than my Losee 8T 4.0 in some places. The XT8 turned into the corners very very hard with next to no pushing. On exit of the corners especially around the wide sweeping corners the XT8 would tend to want to oversteer I believe this was due to rear roll Centre and can be fixed by moving rear roll centre down one whole on the tower. It definitely had a lot of rear end traction and I feel the set up is almost there once I play with rear roll centre a bit more I'll let you know where I am at. Lap times were faster with my xt8 compared to my 8T 4.0

I got to drive one tonight. It definitely turns in better than my mugen. It is hard to compare rear traction because of different engines but it seemed I could push the xray harder than my Mugen without it getting loose. The xray jumped better too.

Is that gearing good with a 2250kv motor?

Hi frank ! Did you use the nitro center diff mounting plate ? I found all the other parts on amain and absolutehobbyz . Except the part #354056 but it looks exactly like the nitro top plate without the holes for the brake lever posts .

The nitro top plate does not work.. vision racing has a top plate.
