Which body will come with the XT8? Tessman ROAR Champ body or the Proline Truck body?

The body that Ty ran at the Nats is made by Proline. It will come with the kits sold in the US and be distributed by RC America as an XRay part.

This is the setup that Gord sent to me. Tessman has been using it as a starting setup with few changes track to track

havent run it yet.. just got it built.. the build went very well..

i used the XB9 servo mount tray, instead of the 3 posts, mainly for flex. i do the same in my ebuggy.

i used the stock upper center diff plate, although, i think using the ebuggy version is better, with shims of course. i didnt have this piece. the stock top piece works, but seems a little close to the spur gear. time will tell.

the stock truck, nitro version, comes with the holes to mount the battery tray. not usual.. cuz typically the nitro version doesnt do this, a Electric chassis is required, but not in this case.

one thing also, this goes for all the XT8 builds.. while it goes together very well.. the lower pills in the lower blocks, are very tight.. make sure when installing them, you install them all the way in. if not, your arms will not be free.

but other than that.. was very nice build.

truck felt good this weekend.. definitly needed some setup changes to get more steering from the truck. also.. had to get some rear grip out of the truck..

i got a little more testing to do, and some more changes to make setup wise.. but.. sofar the truck is very stable, and easy to drive.

my issues since i havent run truggy for many many years.. possibly 6 years.. was getting used to the truck width. dont know how many times i clipped the pipe with the inside wheels, which flipped, or sucked the truck into the marshal areas.. lol..

our class lap times were so close.. we werent allowed any mistakes.. less than .6 of a second in lap time.. between the top 6.

Pretty much overall. Mainly corner entry. I'm gonna go down in front diff.. The caster bushings are on back order. I did get the rear to loosen up. Which helped with on power push from alot of rear grip..

are you getting full steering throw both ways? i noticed when building mine that the servo saver arm makes contact with the radio box lid on full left, requires steering horn to be set with a slight offset from perpendicular to achieve full throw.

I will double check. Does it hit turning left? Cuz that's where I really noticed it.. left hand hair pins

ok, i will check that out.. but overall very pleased with the truck.. it was very responsive to changes, and each change i made, worked for what i wanted. and even though the truck wasnt where i wanted.. lap times were very competative.
