Default Make electric motor feel like nitro engine

I know... I know this may or may not be the best place to ask this question, but I figured there are many drivers who racing both 1/8 nitro buggy and 1/8 ebuggy.

I would like my 1/8 eBuggy to feel like my nitro buggy in acceleration and drivability. Any suggestions on speed control settings? I am running a 1900kv motor in the eBuggy.

Thank you

Depending on the make of your buggy, you could retrofit a clutch system. TLR has one and previously Tekno (though discontinued).

Electric Clutch System: 8E/8TE/3.0/8E 4.0:
Team Losi Racing Electric Clutch System: 8E/8TE/3.0/8E 4.0

Adam Drake uses the Tekno variant in his Mugen e-buggy:

If you want to do via your Tx and/or ESC, you could tone down the punch/current limiter settings, dial in some throttle expo...

On my hobbywing esc with a 1900kv I'm at punch 2-3 which is very close to the punch of my nitro 1/8 buggy.

Could always take a page out of the kart racing book and go direct drive...

Don't you dare think about coming to a stop though

Yes, you need to play with your esc settings, this is your best bet.

OK. I thought about the Tekno Traktion system, but it will not fit in my buggy. Iíll try to go low on the Punch settings.

Also, turn your throttle speed down slightly.

The round carb used for off road nitro has a tiny opening at first and then a big opening and then a tiny opening. Set your esc to ramp up ramp up to 15% power the first 1/3rd of throttle. Then go from 15% to 85% the next 1/3rd of throttle. You can stagger it more than that if you want to but make sure that the middle of the power changes the most. Maybe do 1/5th or 1/7th.
