People in this day and age will run what they want to, even if that means buying specifically from online. Its become that way since hobby shops are dying, sadly

Kyosho Kid, what track do you attend?

Im closer to the Alvin track.

I go to Ultimate and Mikes. Hopefully I can race Friday night at mikes. I work late Thursday

Hey, shops cant cater to all brands. They have to stock whats popular and what wins Sunday. I'd consider running a Mugen....but i like being different and running something different. Too many Mugen's as it is here in the Houston area.
Sometimes the markup at a LHS is too much for a racer to bare. Honestly....if shops carried stuff I run i'd buy it there. Tires and fuel are the only things i buy from the LHS. Since most LHS only carry VcraP Fuel I buy fuel from the LHS. Makes power but check your internals and bearings and come talk to me....

MY son is dying to go to Ultimate but since this would be the first time ever on a track, he wants to go either when no one is there or just spectate. I dont blame him, Im probably going to hit it up during the week when no one is there just to shake the rust off

I noticed the LHS only stock VP, I have it and its not bad, but RC Hobbies in League City hasn't restocked since I bought the last 2 gallons back in December

10 years ago I used to use O' Donnell lolol

Yea I was a big O'Donnell fan too. Hard to come by now. I prefer byrons or bones brew.

Don't be scared to come to the track. All levels attend the practice session. When you see them coming up behind you try and make way.

We always are looking for new people to come out. It's fun out there.

There are hardly any LHS in Houston that carry any decent 1/8 buggy, that is not a Horizon product. And as stated in above comment, you dont need LHS support, team and internet is all you need. Ran Kyosho and now Mugen without the LHS.

Not to mention - We have a 1/8 Track in Houston???

It is in Alvin. You may also try Rcfiles.com for Texas area track info.

You may want to check out Shaws in Oklahoma. That may be another option for you. I hear good things about the track. I am spoiled, and I don't run much anymore, Thornhill is like 20 minutes from my house.
