So, basically it's almost the same geometry If you keep the same chassis, you'll have D816 lol. Ronnefalk mentioned the bulkhead is stronger and D block is different but still 3.0 degrees. Here's the list to make your D817: 204009, 204012, 204015, 204016, 204017, 204018, 204027, 204028, 204032, 204037, 204040, 204047, 204048, 204135 (stickers lol), 204139, 204140, 204141. I'm going to get these as soon as they are available, except the chassis and chassis guard.

this is what i understand a few week ....the 3 holes of camber link are one hole more outside , i made a camber plate like it but i need to modify the hub because i can't place the camber link in the new outside hole . the plate hole E817 hub are different .

I wasn't expecting much of a change. After building my E817, I've essentially have seen all the changes except for the unis. I'm intrigued by the different unis for the front and rear. I didn't know that was the route HB decided to go, as opposed to having the same unis front and rear and changing the inner bearing of the rear hubs.
This would mean the rears are not too different from the Mugen E2218 uni's (also 91.5mm) which worked on the D812 rear hubs and the M2C Racing D815 hubs with 8x16x5 inner bearing... just tweaked to work with the large inner bearing on the rear hub...
Just an observation.

Do you happen to know what D815 plate # would be the same height as the #3 E817 plate camber-link hole positions? D815 plate #5 perhaps?
Looking at the pics posted by TrickyMick, the E817 #3 plate camber-link hole positions appears higher than the #3 D815... though this could just be the hub height deceiving my eyes...

I've tried to take better photos of the hubs to give you an idea of the difference between the 2 with the same hub bushes in.
D815 on left with #5 plates, E817 on right #3 plates
But if you put the 2 dots down bushes in the D815 Hubs and the 1 dot down in the E817 Hubs, you get the same height, but the outside hole of the E817 Hubs with the #3 plates is 1.5mm further out.

Sorry for the shitty photos TRIN, but the D815 hubs have the #5 plates and the E817 the #3 plates and I had different Hub bushes in.
I've tried to take better photos of the hubs to give you an idea of the difference between the 2 with the same hub bushes in.

So Ronnefalk and Ty used #4 plates with the 817 hubs in some of their more recent setup sheets including the Ifmar Worlds with either 1 dot down or 2 dots down.
If I got it right, the 817 series hub with #4 plates using 2 dots down is equivalent to the D815 hubs with #5 plates using 2 dots down in height/camber-link hole locations minus the outer hole camber-link location. While Ty used the outer most camber-link position on the 817 hub, Ronnefalk preferred the middle hole.
I'll note, the 817 series hub also has #5 plates which goes a little higher again
The outer hole camber-link location some might be able to replicate, but there will be clearance issues as mentioned by manup20 a couple of posts up with some modding needed. The 817 series hub on the top section is much more angle where the screws for the plates goes in...
However, what I think the biggest difference that separates the two hubs is that the D815 hub won't be able to replicate the lower axle height/dog bone plunge angle from the 817 series hub which looks like at least a 1-2mm difference. I'm guessing this is where most of the extra rear traction is coming from due to the 'binding' effect, meaning more on throttle traction.
On another note, came across this, HB-204146 HB RACING Screw type shock pin set (LHx2 / RHx2). I know some had problems with the set screw in the a-arm backing-out, with the shock pin following suit. Use this for the ultimate reliability!
