Thumbs up The Official HB Racing D815 V2 Thread

I guess HB chose to drop the "Tessman Edition" branding on the updated version of the buggy.

Not to knock a company I love so much, But the V2 is exactly what 90% of us have been running already..........it's a great buy for the new HB owner. But nothing new for us who already run the Best buggy (tessmann)

Well, everyone's running the extended chassis, so it makes sense that it comes with the car. Also everyone runs stiffeners, definately worthwhile.

I think you are just imagining that. I don't believe there is any conflict there.

I run on very loose tight tracks...I think the "V-2" is completely worthless for this type of track...am I correct? The extended chassis is supposed to be for high bite, high speed tracks? Are any of the other minor changes worthwhile?

I have ran both the short and extended chassis, and while the extended does provide a lot more stability at high speed, I have not noticed a big difference at all with the nimbleness and quickness of the car through tight tracks and sections. I definitely like having the increased stability without sacrificing through smaller tighter sections.

Also, the other upgrades included like the #4 Ackerman plates and carbon arm inserts will give more steering and make the car react quicker. Very nice imo for this to be included in the kit already for the consumer.

The buggy runs great on High bite/ and Loose.

I don't think you would sell many buggies if it was ONLY good for 1 kind of terrain.

Don 't get sucked into thinking that this buggy would not run well on LOOSE dirt.

I would definitely consider the D815. The new package that they put together with the V2 edition is in my opinion a really good deal and has every "upgrade" that we ran on the original car already in the box for the same price. You really would need absolutely nothing extra to get going with a top notch car. With the HB you get amazing durability, more adjustability than any other car, and with the selling of the company to Neidhart SA, a quickly improving parts support base. If you have any specific questions just send me a PM or post them!

I have the D815 Tessmann, its it worth it to get the upgrades? I run a medium grip-loose when it gets dry track. City Block kind of tires...
