For more steering in general this is what i would change, 2.5 front swaybar, 2.7 rear, pink front spring, 3 deg rear toe, long rear camberlink, 1.6 rear pistons, usually same oil front and rear with the 1.6 rear pistons and 1.5 front, If the temps are around 80 id be around 350 front and rear, 10 kick up. These changes should make the car more stable and have more steering.

I recently have tried emulsion shocks and they are very good! You may want to give them a try as well with 50 cst higher than bladder shocks.

Let me know how it goes!

If you are running the stops under the steering block in the front, it can be removed for more steering angle.

Default spoiler holder and the M3 x 26 screws (Step 26)

Hello everybody,

I have a technical question and hope to get this answered here. It is about the spoiler holder with the SRX8.

According to step 26 the M3 x 26 screws are screwed forward with the screw head. The self-locking nuts are in the spoiler holder.

Does it make a technical difference when I reverse it because I do not have a tool with which I can prevent the nut from turning when mounting, or is there a trick - during assembly?

Sorry for the sufficient but certainly not perfect English.

Best regards

The nut will fit into a hexagon molded into the spoiler/wing mount. You don't need a tool to hold the nut.

The main thing with this car is it seems to like 2.5 front and 2.7 rear swaybars even in lower grip. Along with those swaybars you'll want to make the shock very light feeling. We like 5 hole pistons 1.5 front and 1.6 rear with emulsion. In 80 deg weather with medium grip 375 cst f r works really well. Don't be afraid to go lighter. You'll feel the car on the bench and think there is no way this will go around the track, and when you drive it you will be amazed!!

Any one tried this? I'm on a super high traction big track which surface is chemically bonded sand/dirt so the track is very abrasive and very hard too. Big jumps with tight hair pins. Traction roll can also be an issue.

Serpent Model Racing Cars - Product - Overdrive diff gear set 43/13 SRX8

Also what shock/spring packages are people running in such conditions? I'm struggling to get the car to stop chassis slapping hard on landing from the jumps. The other cars at the track Mugen/Tekno do not seem to have this issue. My SRX-8 is much better than my 811 2.2 which just seemed to collapse completely at the front on landing. Thanks for the help guys.

Any other tips for super high traction with this car would be much appreciated. I'm really an onroad guy but absolutely love 1/8 off-road but really struggle to find the right setups and I'm the only Serpent at this track at the moment.
