Dont worry I have had the car in my hands a few times (the first prototype) and it cant be compared to the 811 2.2 design wise.
Why an other name and not 3.0?
They new electro buggies were named SRX2 and SRX4 so the 8 was the next step up to go form it as SRX8.
Some driveline parts are taken from the previous 811 serie cause they have proven to be durable and perform well.
New bearings all around.
The servo saver has a locking system and a cover to prevent dust build up inside the thread.
Billy already mentioned the ball bearing anti roll bar stayed but also the ball joint for the lower anti roll bar joint in the lower arms.
Lower arms have different material insert plates to select stifness to suite track conditions.
Radiotray is one part with 5 cell 2/3A flat battery size in the front. Enough room for medium size receiver at the rear.
Diff exchange due to the new bulkheads/diffcases is reduced to 3 minutes.
Front diff change is now inside a record time!
Single part molded wing stand.
Ball raced ackermann plate.
Flexible rear body post....
Longer chassis brace at the rear to move the point of the chassis flex forward.
New tank with standard puller.
C-Hub front with replaceable carbon steering arm parts to change ackermann. No need to change the ackermann plate on the servo steering arms.
6 drive shafts.
new chassis
Built in (lower) chassis skid plate in the rear comes in two versions.
Carbon shock towers.
4 wheels
New shock stands off's.
G-clip at bottom of shock body instead of nut.
New shock seals.
Shockshafts to 3.5 mm to reduce volume compensation needed.
3 differentials................

From pics and specs looks like a HB & Mugen mix
Simple, clean and durable .... Good!

Live RC did a feature on it with Billy Easton after the Silver State coverage last night. Car looks really good. Lots of options, nice layout etc.

He is been running that paint scheme ever since I can remember [roar 1/10 fuel nationals Hemet]. He uses a burnt orange one with splatters at some of the indoors tracks here sometimes

Because it works well, like on the MP9 and the JQ buggy for example. And is the latest HB buggy not running a similar setup.

Hope it goes well for Hara, see he has a test mule, or early example.

I think all the updated changes to the platform are all great. The chassis plate being slightly wider in the rear, is a design I'm not too familiar with. The whole car looks amazing tho and I can't wait to try it out.

Did he sign for certain, as he has been known to test and run different chassis as well, like he did with the MP9.

On another note, I like the new chassis having become simplified and more in keeping with current platforms.

I know Silver States was a huge "get to know" with the new car, but does anyone know what happened to Billy in the middle of the B main and what ended Chickys A main early.
