check you have the washers between the steering cranks and the plate. The tolerance is small but it shouldn't rub. I recall having the same issue but realised I'd either missed the washers or put the wrong ones in there.

Forgive my scepticism but the difference in the two tracks is about 2mm or about 0.67%. The drive shafts changed from 93mm to 94mm
Unless you're an exceptional driver that difference will be 0.67% and very hard to detect... AND add track to the front and not the rear you take traction away from the rear 0.67%...
So now you have more oversteer on a car that oversteers. So now you have to look at roll bars to offset this and that's where Alice sees the rabbit hole.
Another option would be to add 2.0mm wide hubs to the MP9 and then you're identical track and you can move them front/rear and you've saved well over $100.
