Default TLR 8ight-T 4.0!

8IGHT-T 4.0 RACE KIT: 1/8 4WD NITRO TRUGGY

The suspension and drivetrain updates engineered into the 8IGHT-T™ 4.0 truggy are inspired by a single purpose – giving racers of all experience levels a nitro truggy that is easy to drive fast, whatever the track conditions. Other updates, like the large footprint engine mount and molded drivetrain boots, improve durability. It all adds up to a faster, tougher truggy that can take on the best the competition has to offer, right out of the box.

1. DURABLE 4MM HARD-ANODIZED 7075 T-6 ALUMINUM CHASSIS
2. REDUCED FRONT DRIVESHAFT ANGLE
3. BALL BEARING THROTTLE AND BRAKE ACTUATOR
4. LARGE-BEARING SPINDLES AND HUBS
5. REVISED CHASSIS SIDE GUARDS
6. LARGER ENGINE MOUNT THAT REDUCES CHASSIS FLEX
7. 15˚ CASTER BLOCKS WITH ADJUSTABLE SPINDLE HEIGHT
8. ALUMINUM SHOCK CAPS WITH THREADED BLEEDER HOLES
9. MOLDED DRIVESHAFT AND DOG BONE BOOTS
10. ALUMINUM SHOCK TOWERS WITH UPDATED CAMBER LINK AND SHOCK LOCATION HOLES
11. 11MM NARROWER TRACK WIDTH FOR MORE DYNAMIC HANDLING
12. THROTTLE ACTUATOR BRACE
13. REVISED SHOCK BUSHINGS

REVISED SUSPENSION GEOMETRY

The adjustable, 15-degree caster blocks make it possible to tune dog bone plunge by changing the height of the spindle.

ADJUSTABLE CASTER BLOCKS

The adjustable, 15-degree caster blocks make it possible to tune dog bone plunge by changing the height of the spindle.

REDESIGNED SHOCK TOWERS

The machined aluminum shock towers have new camber link and shock location holes that give racers more tuning options for evolving track conditions.

OPTIMIZED DRIVETRAIN LAYOUT

The engine has been repositioned to reduce front driveshaft angle so more power makes it to the front wheels.

LARGE-FOOTPRINT ENGINE MOUNT

In addition to its new position, the engine mount has been designed with a larger footprint that substantially reduces chassis flex and fatigue underneath the engine when racing on high-grip tracks.

LARGE BEARING SPINDLES AND HUBS

Front spindles and rear hubs have been revised to accept a larger 8 x 16 x 5 outer bearing for increased durability.

11MM NARROWER TRACK WIDTH

Shorter suspension arms narrow the track width by 5.5mm on each side. This benefits handling on tight sections of the track by making the vehicle more dynamic and allowing it to transition from one direction to the other more quickly

REVISED CHASSIS SIDE GUARDS

The chassis side guards have been updated for a better fit.

CVA AND CENTER DRIVE BOOTS

Molded rubber boots on the CVA s and center drive dog bones reduce drivetrain wear by holding lubrication in and keeping dirt out.

BALL BEARING THROTTLE AND BRAKE ACTUATOR

This revised actuator makes throttle and brake response feel incredibly smooth and precise. It also features a new brace that prevents flexing during heavy braking.

NEW BLEEDER SHOCK CAPS AND SEALS

The new bleeder shock caps and internal seals allow for easier rebuilds while using an emulsion shock setup. New bushings that press into the shock cap further improve durability.

Not quite. Only 11mm narrower or about 1/2 inch for you imperial guys ( all the hardware is standard, why cant the track width be ). The 1.0 was a full inch narrower or 25mm. Reason they went from a 1/2 offset to zero offset wheels...

Already took $500 out of my bank account and stashed it in the ol' ladys undie drawer... Cant wait till April!!

I forgot about the half offset. The top arms are the 8T ones according to the parts list

I've added a list of all the new parts I found in the parts explosion. Easy to say it wouldn't be worth trying to upgrade from the 3.0

I really like that they have changed the center diff mount to accommodate a larger center spur. I also like the new rear chassis brace. I never felt the original brace had a place on the truggy.

Looks like his front spindles and hubs are off the 3.0, but the rear hubs are new.

It doesn't look like they have their new 4.0 aluminium spindles ready yet.

There's a part number for them both

TLR344002 Aluminum Front Spindle Set: 8IGHT 4.0
TLR341002 Aluminum Throttle Tri-Horn w/Bearings: 8IGHT 4.0
TLR344003 Aluminum Rear Hub Carrier Set: 8IGHT 4.0

There is no plans for an 8T E 4.0. We just released the 8TE 3.0 last summer.
