Think it has more to do with the spring rates than fitment... Probably an "in between" rate of the Losi springs... He needed a little more but not as much as the next spring gave him....

I never had an issue with38mm ride height.

The new truck comes with a softer spring package than the 3.0 did.

I'm sure the narrower arms has something to do with the dampening. Tessmann has spent many hours developing the HB springs on the truggy. For Ty they are a winning package.

I think with the new truck. The team is still working through the setup for the truck. When j ran the 3.0 towards the end I had a very good starting setup and would just tweek on a few adjustment points to dial the truck in. I expect the 4.0 to be the same. I would also keep a set of the long arms as well for a running option.

With the softest 3.0 front springs (red) I'm only able to get the ride height down to 39.5mm in the front. I have the shocks on the inside hole on the arm and the middle hole on the tower.

The new springs will fix that

Don't forget the 4.0 has a little different suspension geometry than the 3.0 due to the narrowing.... that makes a difference.

Getting ready to pull the trigger on mine Just have to wait until after the wife's birthday next week. Here honey....I got you an RC car! Don't think that would go over too well...

That's what I'm saying. It doesn't appear that the 3.0 springs will get down to ride height on the 4.0 setup. I have the 4.0 arms and tower.
This was also with the spindles up which should help get down to ride height.

In the rear I've had to mount up the 3.0 front springs to get to the ride height I wanted.

This is probably why Maifield is running other brand springs as the 4.0 springs aren't available yet.

Part # for a replacement body? I don't see 4.0 bodies listed anywhere?

It will fit the 4.0, there is a difference, the cut out for the engine is over more from the 3.0.

So do you guys think the narrower track width is a big benefit? I'm thinking of getting all the parts for my 3.0 e-truggy.

Definitely. The steering is so much more responsive.

Thanks.

So it sounds like my 3.0 springs will be too long after converting to 4.0 arms?

Are these the correct hot bodies springs?
Front http://www.amainhobbies.com/rc-cars-...109811/p413219
Rear http://www.amainhobbies.com/rc-cars-...113476/p413236

Again, this actually on a 8ight-T E 3.0
Buggy springs way too short??

Just ran my truck for the first time today.....It is awesome! I'd say .2-.3 seconds faster per lap and much more consistent.

No... No it's not..

It's a 3.0 body in the kit.. You can see the motor has moved, but the body hole is now offset and not centered.
