If you were getting a new buggy what would you get? I know they are all good in certain aspects but if you could buy any new 1/8 nitro buggy what would you buy and why?

HB D815
It's durable, has amzing shocks, great value out of the box, and most importantly it handles great on all different track surfaces. Also Ty and Gord are the nicest and most helpful people you will ever meet at the track.

To me it's all about performance, maintenance, and tune ability.
Most of the cars offered today do a decent job of many of these losi, HB, Tekno, AE, Mugen, etc. IMO only xray completes them all. I have 2 option parts on my cars, no need to dump another several hundred $$$ into it to make it perform. And for my list above I am more than satisfied. I have ran xray for 3+ years and couldn't be happier. I spend less time wrenching and more time on the track. The build is pure pleasure the kit almost goes together by itself.
- How do the parts wear?
- How difficult hot is it to swap fluids?
- How does it respond to setup changes?
- Local parts support is in important to me as I always cary my own. Killing a race day because of 1 part due to not being prepared doesn't happen in my pit.

LOL, this (thread) isn't going to help you make a decision at all. What brands do you like? Go to the track and ask friends if you can try their cars. You ask a question like that here and everyone will give you their favorite car and why. Keep in mind what works for others may not work so great for you...

Well if i was to buy another 1/8 nitro buggy, i would get another Tekno NB48.3, i already have one and its awesome! So why not buy another haha. Or i would buy a Mugen MBX7R, have been a fan of the Mugens for awhile, but have never owned one.
But like one of the guys has already said, youre only going to get personal opinions on a thread like this, its not going to help you make a decision. As he also said, go down to the track and see what you like best.

As mentioned above, see what buggy is popular at your local track. This will allow you to share setup's with other drivers and should you be unfortunate to break a part there'll always be someone at the track with that part to help you out.
Also check out what brands your local hobby shop stocks, nothing worse than buying a kit and then finding that your local shop doesn't stock that brand and you have to get all parts by mail order.

I have been racing for a pretty good bit. I had drove for the past two years for Mugen but I didn't resign this year. I just wanted to strike up a convo. As for parts I always like to he prepared so I will have plenty with me. I'm just wanting to see what people are buying these days.
