Default Can't get Lipo pack to charge (brand new)

So I'm very very ignorant about lipo. Let me just get that out of the way. Now, I just received this brand new Lipo pack in the mail and bought this Hitec x1 charger. I tried to charge and discharge and both keep coming up with "connection break" when I attempt to charge. I have a 2400mah 7.4v 2s pack. I set the charger to charge at 2.4a and its set for 2s. Also, I have a solid connection with the balance plug and the pack is connected solidly to the balance plug in 2s. Amy ideas what the hell in doing wrong? I've been racing for years and I'm just now switching over form NiMh. Attached is a pic of my setup. Thanks for any advice guys.

Default lipo

Sounds like you may have a bad cell in the battery.

Not sure if you can charge through the balance plug try connecting the main plug Also. I use a power lab 6 charger and have to plug in both the balance plug and main plug.

Looks like you have the battery connected to the balance port but not plugged in directly. You'll need something like this:

This might sound silly, but I don't see where there the battery is connected to a charge lead in the photo? Is it only connected to the balance port as that is all you mention?

Yeah, pretty sure you can't charge that just through the balance connector. I've tried it before with my ez peak which is basically the same thing as the x1 and you have to charge through the main lead or use one of those protek adapters

I experienced using LRP, the balance connector need to be force rotated when plug in.

What you need to do is have both the balance board connected to the LIPO as well as the main power leads from the batter connected to the female banana connectors on the charger. I would suggest using something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Octopus-RC-Cha.../dp/B001343I1K or what R1Joel suggested which will allow you to charge batteries that have different connectors, your local hobby shop should have something similar. I have the exact same charger and it works just fine.
