I've got 8 tanks on mine and gave up tonight. I guess I just got one of the dud engines. I just constantly fought for a tune.

I figured it would be a turd engine though so I'm not mad at all for a $280 buggy. What's a good cheap nitro engine to slap in one of these things? Its been awhile since I've been in the nitro game and I just want this as a fun gas toy. I gotta get a gas tank and maybe a pipe too.

will a nitro engine bolt to that chassis? I was under the impression the nitro and gas chassis were different.

I must have gotten one of the good ones! Mine runs like a champ, I have at least 20 tanks thru it without a hitch. I have a video on youtube, but I cant post it here because I have not met the min number of posts before that is allowed. hope the one I just ordered isn't crap, I just bought it on a wim cause it was 280, we shall see, if the motor blows, guess I will build it into a nitro car, or brushless.

I hate to revive and older thread but is anyone liking their gas buggy/truggy? I have 3 friends that own them, one loves his, one never started his and the other swapped out the gas engine for nitro right from the start. I may pick up a roller and go electric with it, haven't decided yet.

Do you guys know what it would take to convert from the buggy to the truggy, excluding the body and wheels?

With the 4.0's out and the 3.0's lowered in price, why not just get the electric version from the start.... $300 for the Gasser, and $75 for the conversion; or $375 for the 3.0 Electric......just saying it would be way less of a hassle and you get a buggy that was designed and built to be electric.

Honestly I think I may want to try the gasser and then if it is no good I would convert. Also are those truggy or buggy prices?

The conversion kit works for both.... The buggy price has been lowered to around $375 and with the everybody anticipating the release of the T-4.0, it wont be long before it is lowered as well...

Yes a T4.0 is coming....Soon.

my engine has been running strong, i did have bind cut out issues but easily resolved, the motor starts right up easily the break in was simple i mean the only thing was the batt pack dies faster in the truggy im assuming the weight. my buddy bought the buggy he has zero issues, his rx pack runs like 7 tanks mine barely 5, easily fixed with bigger batt or even running separate battery for the CDI. but again for the $280 i paid i cant complain at all, i would never had bought it for the original $799 though.

hi only to know if some body know if i can use the diffential 3.0 in my car 2.0 because th pinion in the 3.0 is 12t and 2.0 10t

No... If you buy the new ring and pinion set ( LOSA6255 for the 3.0 and 4.0) it comes with both parts needed. Install them both and it will be good.

I have been having a blast with my buggy. Once you get it dialed in, it runs like a champ. It will do donuts until you cant see it in the whirling cloud of dust it makes. I have at least 30 tanks of fuel thru mine, it always fires right up and runs like a scalded cat. I had it on a dirt oval the other day, and screamed around the track until I ran out of gas. Handled well, but had too much power for the smallish track. I am planning to keep it gas-powered until the engine toasts, then go nitro. There is a local track for 1/8 scale nitro. No telling how long that will be though, so far no hint of engine problems here.
