James Racing Tire Prep/Gluing Tips

1. Use non-chlorinated brake cleaner or Alcohol to clean bead of tire.
2. Dremel wheel bead. This gives it a good bonding surface. Clean after dremel with above cleaners mentioned above.
3. Use loctite professional glue.
4. Enjoy!

What James Racing Tires are compared to in other brands:

PL suppressor - Y-Zip
PL lockdown - Revenger
PL fugetive - Defenders
PL blockade - Y-Zip or Revenger
PL switchblade - Wasper

Dot Evo works on wet or dusty tracks and every track condition.
Wasper is like a Hole Shot/Buck Shot.
I-Blocks are amazing on dusty blue grooves.
X-Cross is like a Bow Tie.

The rubber wears like iron and the SS compound is close to a M3 PL and if sauced with PB Blaster, feels like a M4. The 5 rib inserts are like Dirt Techs so they don't break down fast like PL foams do.

Thanks.

There is no chart, but traction level is more important than temps. Use SS for low grip, Soft for high grip, and Medium for extreme/abrasive grip levels.

I've been running these tires for a while now and really like them. Wear rate, price and overall experience can't complain.

Then I won't be able to get them unless I order them from the States, which just isn't viable.

I really like the I block, flash, wasper and Y zip. Depends on the conditions you're running in. They wear really well also. Haven't tried the other treads yetc aside cannot get them.

Finally had my first run on my Flash M3 tyres and i must say they seemed to be pretty good. Used them to practice on before switching to x3 blockades for the races and didn't notice a lot of difference between the two

Just getting back into racing and been using a few of their different threads. Those on the fence about these tires....Theyre pretty sick and the price is sweet!
Tried the Revenge (impact, blockade/lockdown, sweep defenders) tried em all and just as good.

James Defender (zipps, fugitive style)

Dot evo (kinda like calibers)

wish they came out with more truggy selections!

Pentangle...tried it and it was close to an impact with a tad more slip...soft compound.

Rapid-t....last a long time and felt really gold on both wet and dried surface here. Went with super soft but I think I should've gone with soft as the pins folded over. Can't really compare between the 2 becoz of that but even with the wrong compound, it was good.

Track here loose with partially loamy sections with a groove forming through the day.
Hope this helps somewhat

Does anyone prep or trim their James foam inserts a particular way, or do you just run them stock out of the package? Thanks

I am running Jconcept foams in mine. I didn't want to mess with cutting foams.

I trim/cut of the "tops" inside the inserts, so the insert is flat. Feels better and a more even wear.
