First off i dont really care who does what but Ryan is an exceptional person , only super fast guy that is cool as they come imo .

Has his head on straight ,uses tire sauce (joke) and is willing to help you out the best he can and love doing it , will sit and talk to ya like a normal human and not feel he is better than you in any respect ,does not have the "entitled" attitude that so many fast guys do ,all in all ,ryan is aces in my book

Heres to a great future for you Ryan

Well put, I have not been fortunate enough to have met Ryan Lutz yet, and he still took the time to answer a PM I sent him and gave me an honest answer. Then apologized that it took a few days to answer and offered up his email as a better contact.

A lot of the "fast guys" with badges of honor at the bottom of their signatures could learn a lot from how Ryan Lutz carries himself in this HOBBY/sport.

Tekno just made their way to the top steps of the podium. Signing Ryan Lutz with proper support and cars that already have a reputation for being extremely durable.......going to be a fun year.

will Lutz still be using alpha engines?

considering Durango focuses on club level racers now they could donate all the stuff on rctech :D

I am surprised, I would have thought AE. When he talked about the "support" he wanted, I figured AE would be his best bet. Plus he does run some 10th scale, and Tekno has none. Maybe Ryan is looking to grow with Tekno and create a "mainstream" brand together.

Lutz has always been a fast 1/8th and 1/10th SC racer, IMO Tekno fits him well.

Tekno doesn't have a 1/10 buggy.. for now. When you look how fast they managed to release a buggy, a SCT and a truggy maybe they are working on a 1/10 platform by the time we are writing these lines, who knows? Who would have thought Tekno would release a nitro buggy?

On the other hand AE had some struggles with the release of the last RC8(.3?), the designer left, the prototype was stolen.. Sure they have some backup but IMO they aren't on the same path as Tekno. Tekno is building a strong basis for the future right now, I think Lutz made an excellent decision.

Wildcat1971 11-07-2014 06:54 AM

Yep, I am sure it will be a good fit. I just didnt know Tekno had the budget for Lutz. But they have grown a lot in the last 1-2 years, so maybe they do now.

masher81 11-07-2014 07:08 AM

I would imagine Tekno has more of a budget than most manufactures .. if not all.
