The Mugen and Prostar towers are the only ones I have experience with. Both are great towers, biggest difference is that Prostar has colored Kevlar options

Has anyone had any unexplained engine cutoffs with the 8? New engine and properly tuned, downside a jump and engine just cuts off. Just wondering if anyone else has had any weird issues?

Do the MBX8 arms have any advantages over the ones from the MBX7R? To be honest I just like the look of them and since they're not that expensive I might invest into some for my Nitro and Eco Mugen

The diff cases do not bolt directly onto the 7r chassis. The 8 shock tower is different to fit the new diff cases, and the new wing mount bolts directly to a series of holes, for height adjustment, on the 8 rear shock tower. So, the easiest way to get all the new stuff to fit on a 7r is to buy an 8 Even if you bought an 8 chassis, you would need to get the 8 steering posts since they are keyed into the chassis, meaning the 7r steering posts are too short. The steering rack top plate is different, the rear chassis brace mount is different, and so on, and so on. There are just too many small changes to make it worth trying to upgrade more than just the suspension arms on your 7r platform.

Hello joNathanW,
The MBX8 Arms are stiffer. It will give a more consistent drive.
Cheers..

Looks like I'll be waiting for the eco to come out... I may pick some arms up at some point though.
