Build its by the instruction manual, and use a dab of blue threadlock on all the screws that go into metal and alloy parts, with the exception of the top engine mount screws and the shock standoffs.
take care fitting the pillowball bush retainers, start threading them by hand so you dont crossthread them and allow a tiny bit of clearence so they dont bind on the pillowballs.

Drake explains the oring friction in a video. The internal gears are a more aggressive ratio so you need to lower your fluids.

After watching the video "the drake" posted I'm assuming that due to the 6mm shafts on the new outdrives I can't use the htd outdrives in the old diffs? Planning a rebuild soon, I'm trying to decide whether I want to drop the cash on the diffs or just do the outdrives
Can anyone confirm?

You cannot, the only parts that are the same are the screws that hold it together really, everything else is new
