[Ring Ring]...
TLR: Team Losi Racing, how may I help you?
RM: Yea, this is Ryan Maifield and was just wondering if you guys have any openings.
TLR: Hold on a second Ryan...
[Muffled Noises in the background]
TLR (muffled): can someone call Truhe.. QUICK !
Truhe: Hello
TLR: Sup! Uh, we're real short on cash and need to let you go.
Truhe: Wait... What?
TLR: Sorry dude, just business. SEE YA!
TLR: Ryan, you still there?
RM: Yea...
TLR: We have an opening.

I know I speculated the same thing... but the Truhe deal happened months before RM decided to leave AE...
Not that I was told this directly, but I was told by someone that was, that RM leaving AE only materialized a couple of months ago....
So, it still sucks for Truhe to see all of this I'm sure, but he wasn't directly released to make room for RM.
And letting RM keep his Airtronics and JC deals only costs TLR less money, so it's win win for both parties.

Truhe - I think was just part of the "change" that happened over at Horizon. I think TLR was not expecting to sell as many 8th scale, especially trucks that have currently sold. And I think 22 platform is a solid product as far as stable income for Horizon. Sales changes things. Truhe was not the only casualty to TLR racing team with the restructure (I think) of Horizon.
