mugen mbx6t silver carbon edition

hi! am looking at a mbx6t silver carbon edition truggy for sale. would like some feedback on truck.is it really better than the regular mbx6t truggy?9FOR RACING) i know it has upgraded features. but is it worth the extra money? also anyone have input on the O.S. VG .21 MOTOR? good/bad? heard v-spec was better. heard to just get a better pipe with the vg .21 and you'll be alright.thanks!

I wouldn't put either one of those OS engines in a Truggy. For less money get the Novarossi P5XLT.

That's too much money for used stuff. You can get it all brand new for close to the same price with a better engine and radio. If you can get it for $800 shipped go for it. If not pass.

You can get a brand Hot Bodies D8T for $350
2 Savox 1250 series servos for $125
Novarossi P5 Xlt for $215
3-4 different starter boxes for $60-$75
4 mounted Truggy tires for $70
Batteries for car and starter box $60
Dynamite 053 pipe for $60
Airtronics MT-4 radio with receiver for $200

That's $1120 and it's all brand new stuff.

Jaz240 04-25-2014 08:39 PM

So you are saying you don't want to build it? You want to get it and start it up and play with it?

yes! plug and play/race!

Jaz240 04-25-2014 08:45 PM

If you have $1000 and you don't need a radio and receiver you should buy new stuff and pay somone to build it for you. People usually sell used stuff because its junk/broken/stolen/damaged/worn out. You should especially not buy a used engine.

snoborder,

Jaz (James) owns Red Rock Hobbies in Mesa (IIRC). You should take a drive and talk with him in person this weekend. I don't want to speculate, but he should be able to hook you up and even build it (maybe).

Jaz240 04-25-2014 10:54 PM

Thanks Todd, I don't want to be one of those guys whose sluts himself out on RC tech looking for sales but if he is local we can try to help. We do offer full assembly and engine break in services but I don't want to sell him crap and it's going to be a tough task to get all new stuff with assembly and engine break in for $1000. Snoboard, if you call the shop on Monday, (racing tomorrow) I think maybe we can help you find a good used Truggy roller and then put all new stuff into it to keep costs down. Give me a call if you are local. 480-725-1920.

mbx6tr

The silver edition is basically the same.... it does have the receiver battery in front but other than that if the norm. mbx6t is cheaper you could just upgrade the radio tray. I have the silver carbon and run a mugen bo2 engine and its a beast ive had a nova, but its really preference bc some people might like the way the o.s runs and others don't, i feel o.s are a better buggy engine. I looked at the truck it looks like an ok deal considering you really wont have to put any money into it do some research and watch some videos on the stuff.;)
Good Luck
