Default Looking for a New Race Engine! 👀😜😎👌

I have a reedy vr .21 race engine right now in my losi 8ight 2.0 buggy that I love!!! But I'm getting the 8ight 3.0 soon and I'm not sure if I should get a another reedy for it or try something else. My friends keep telling me there's better out there which is true but I really became attached to the reedy because of it's performance. I never had any issues with it. Starts up every time automatically even when cold. Never cut off on me while driving which is important so I don't have a flame out during a race. Engine easy to tune and holds the tune very well. It always keeps consistent temperatures around the 200degrees mark. And most importantly the engine is fast/powerful on top and bottom end she screams!!!!!! And I have the factory team pipe to match already which makes it even more potent! I just can't see how any other engine could be more reliable.

So if I try another engine it has to have all these qualities plus some more!

Can you guys give me recommendations on good race engines! Don't care what the price is!

If you're happy with your current setup than keep it. No sense in buying a new engine if you like yours. I ran a couple Reedys as well and I like how easy they are to tune and they make good power.

Have you considered a argus engine? Rex from RW-mods.com is the only person in the USA to deal in them and there great motors for there price. Would be worth looking in to.

Nova based fusion engines. An X5 would be perfect for a buggy.

What pipe do you have will help you pick a motor.
factory team pipe AE which the AE2035? or AE2039

But with your $300 motor Budget you also, need add in the pipe that will work for that motor.

So with $300 you really looking at $200 motor and $100 or so for a Pipe.

Then Plugs if you don't have any. Maybe 2 or 4 plugs on hand
O.S. plugs are $10 or less
Nova plugs are $10 or less
OD Plugs cheap $8 or less

Werks is a Good motor the B2 or B5 or B6

Get a B2 3 port for $169 or so then you can run the 2035 pipe for now. Till you get a orion or werks 2013 pipe or 2058 pipe. You can find it used for $45 or so
you at $214
then some Plugs 4 plugs x $10 or less =$40
you at $254 under your $300 budget.

or step it up to a B5 for $199 or B6 $229.99

or this
RB Products KANAI Limited Edition .21 3-Port Competition Buggy Engine Combo w/2097 Tuned Pipe
[RBDE01013-YK]
amain hobbies price Low Price: $389.99

I seen Houston is the guy that sells Fusion X5 motors and one other person selling it here for $300

motor/pipe done

Thanks for the suggestions Motorman007 I appreciate it! And I have the AE2035 pipe right now.
They're so many engines to choose from its hard to make a decision.

And Honestly I don't really care about the budget I just want an engine that will more than likely never fail me, easy tuning, and great power so that I can give other racers a run for there money on the fast parts of the tracks!

They will all come up short if you don't change the filter and tune it right.

And with I don't care budget.

Fx royal aka Hudy motor seems to be working well. Really new motor
$350 for motor and $100 for the Hudy royal Pipe 2100
450 and OS p3 or p4 plugs $40 extra
So $490 total

OS SPEED are money
I like the vbz old case
Speed II, $425+$120 pipe 2090
Os p3 $40
Total $585
