used 8ight t 2.0
 

I just bought a used 8ight t 2.0 off eBay and will be here Monday. What are some of the specific things or known issues that I should look for when going over it? It's a roller with no engine or radio gear so will be a fresh start there. Looking at the werks b5 .21 comp engine and looking at the 2013 pipe or should I go losi pipe for proper fit on chassis.

hello no pipes are not chassis specific...i would also look into a novarossi p5 for that price range....i would check the rear diff....if it has the aluminum bearing inserts...if not get them...also the mesh of it.....the 2.0 truggy rear diff really needs to be set up properly and kept up on me for a long trouble free life...if it is run with too much play the teeth will be in rough shape if not shot

The listing says it does have the aluminium inserts. Guess I should pull the difs apart and change the fluid and put new gaskets on them as well as the shocks.

I was actually looking at non pro version around $200. I may want a better motor down tbe road but pretty sure it will be plenty for me. Will be my first rc truck in a very long time and first 1/8 nitro ever. When I was racing last I had the xx buggy and lxt. the xxt was just released and never got to finish it.
