Default Options for Racer/Basher

Hi,

I'm looking into some options for a basher and occasional racer if I get some time to take it to the local track. I've been digging around and Truggy's seem like a good option, any advice on decent options for a racer/basher? I prefer a kit version (enjoy the build), but I am open to most options.

If I were to go full basher, I would probably go Savage X, but I am waiting for the new 2014 Savage X SS. How do the Savage compare to a truggy like the HB D8T? Truggy pretty resilient, fun to drive?

Thanks

The serpent cobra rtr kit it actually pretty good. I have one and changed out the transmitter and servos. Runs great.

Get a HPI Trophy truggy rtr. A friend of mine has one and it is pretty good value.
