Arrow ofna .32 gearing

I have an ofna nexx 8t truck with the .32 force in it. It is a great engine, it holds a tune well, and starts easy every time. Really don't want to rid of it yet.

Stock gearing is 13t/48t and the truck has about no top end. I know the .32 is a tq monster and will not be a screamer. My question is, could I go up to a 15t bell without bogging down anything? This is a bash only truck, only time it sees a track it is just for fun.

You can do that no problem, I run an alpha a352 (.23) on kyosho st-rr truggy gearing is 14/48 and pulls it no problem, I run 15/48 when im bashing around..it will wear the clutch a little faster but that probably wont be an issue for a torque motor..

Did you experience any noticeable gains from the 14t?

13 to 14 is a very noticeable difference an that motor will pull the 15 like a semi pulls an empty trailer.

Biggest concern will be the clutch. Im guessing it still has the carbon shoes in it.

I did it to give it more of a nose up attitude off the face of jumps . more wheelspin. and to tone down the off throttle in turns. I dont know if your racin or bashin. I do both. I also use softer clutchsprings

I run the composite shoes for 3 reasons #1 theyre cheaper. # 2 they dont grab as quickly as alum. ones . and #3 less maint. no burrs to remove

15 will still be good for the truck just lose a tad of acceration but you may not notice it because of bashing, on track then I would go back to 13 or 14 depending on track, plus you'll save some fuel with taller gear. You want more power and run time a tune pipe make all the difference a JP.2 will also help the top end and our 2047 (10074) is a better powerband with better fuel milage.
