Default Best .21 under $300 & $400

What's the good deal on reliability, tune ability and power these days?

Last time I raced nitro consistently it was all about the cab vspec. I've still got one to go with my nb48, but I might consider switching.

I'm liking the arrow vspec knockoffs thoug - are they any good?

From what I gather it depends on what type of vehicle it goes in and what type of tracks you run. I have never spen more then $100 on a motor but the OPS 21B is the motor that I want. Its a beast and factory tuned. They are supposed to have the fattest bottom end with excellent mid and top and should be good for both buggy and truggy. They are $290 shipped.

I'm sure you will hear some other chime in. I was interested in the Arrow GTR as well and come to find out they have some issues of their own.

For under $300 for a buggy the new Picco Boost Team Edition is impossible to beat. Superior quality, fantastic smooth power delivery with great bottom mid and top range. It has a great Carb and is easy to break in, and tune and it holds the tune as well. Ceramic rear bearing, tungsten weighted crank and epoxy filled! My only complaint is its not great on fuel and 10 minute pit stops are impossible no matter who is driving it.
We sell 5-10 engines a week and the only other engine that gets the rave reviews is the FX but it is not under $300.

Default BTT

a Novarossi BTTA is right on 300 dollars and it's a great engine. I would recommend putting a Pro-Tek ceramic rear bearing in it and you should be very happy.

Any Alpha Plus engine ;-) Heck...buy (2) of em for your $400 budget mark and have different power curves to choose from! The Alpha Plus Club Racer (F850) is a great engine with plenty of power for the money.....

I have been running the Maxy Cinco Bt since it came out. Awesome motor smooth and plenty of power. Built By Novarossi Just like Houston. I get great runtime and it is very easy to tune.

Novarossi p5 is a great engine for under 300, the arrow gtr and GtrII are great also, arrow bought o.s.'s old mills back in 2011 and basically carbon copied the xzb and ninja platform

Seems like you just have to take your pic of what Nova engine you want. I just bought a nova built engine and I have to say, the quality is top shelf.

I've also had very good luck with werks engines. Super easy to break in and tune was breeze.
