Cool 1/8 nitro buggy question

Hey guys I will be getting a nitro buggy for the summer season to come!! but what should I get for the money and performance.
I was thinking:
Mugen MBX7 kit (not M-Spec want to build it myself)
REDS R5t TE .21 5 port buggy engine turbo plug
Bulldog body
Proline tires
Savox SC-1267SG (one for steering and throttle)
REDS Pipe
Airtronics M12 reciver
OR....
TLR 8ight 3.0 with everything listed above including all the electronics and nitro motor.
Which one should I get for the most durable, high performance kit with a lot of tuning options!!

The two buggies you have listed are good race units, the mugen wants to be driven aggressively and the losi will be more forgiving, engine and pipe, servo are personal preference really

which can you get parts for more easily?

have you driven either before, if not, go out and try before you buy.

Depends on the driver, I would rank those cars as equal on the track. I run the Mugen and have been impressed with the quality, it still feels solid after a year of solid racing.

I got the TLR 3.0 because it was well supported here. That being said I had a Mugen MBX4 way back in the day and loved it. I don't think you could go wrong with either one of them.

So far my 3.0 has been reliable and fun to drive.

Mugen for the quality. There is plenty of setups to make the car drive how ever you want... Aggressive or not aggressive. I had a 2.0 LOSI in 2011 and it was the worst time of my racing experience.

Based on past experience, you can't go wrong with either of these cars, however the Mugen has been known to need some upgrades out of the box while I haven't had to do any upgrades or set up changes to my Losi, and it is an extremely competitive and great handling car out of the box. Either way, both cars have been proven to be among the best cars in the industry.

Mugen all the way 1/8 off road is what they specialize in not RTR market like Losi

This is coming from a long time Losi fan, but I really feel the mugen is a all around better buggy when it comes to quality and design. Having said this, when it comes to parts being available the Losi is a better choice.

Just my opinion.

That's why you go with a "tlr" not a "losi"
