Really nice writeup of the testing process and their way of making cars, its nice to see a company that is so open. I already decided I have to keep my mp9 for this season but this new xray looks very tempting!

Man I just left my mugen for the kyosho mp9 tki4.

Reading this article and the production it takes makes me want to get one.

This is why they asked me not to post any pictures of their car at the dirt Nitro challenge because it was still in the testing program.. Hats off to them..

I may just have to buy one just to have.

Frank L. When are you getting yours?

So Martin says something that has peaked my interest a little..ok i lied..it has peaked my interest a ton! Any insight on the below words frank?

"As usual we started work by taking the existing car, reading through all the feedback and comments received from customers, team drivers, distributors, and then putting down all my own comments. From this I divided things into a list of details that I would change, details that should be changed, and then also all details that I did not want to change and wanted to carry over. I also had to keep in mind that we needed to use the same platform for the electric version of XB8, and we had to keep everything open for the XT8 truggy version."

Please say that its true! an xray truggy again? hopefully much more available than the original xt8 and xt9s were. Seems like those trucks and parts are like unicorns or something.

I am also interested in this. But why did he say xt8 and not xt10 or something? I would love a new xray truggy, my xt9 is awesome and have difficulty letting it go and may never will.

Because there can't be an XT11.23461 RQ3. So all of the XT8's will be called XT8's.

XT8 2018 edition.
XB8 2019 edition
XB4 2017 edition
etc. etc. etc.

To try to keep some familiarity in the model names. Just look at the Xray forum setup model list. There's a dozen model's that I have no idea are of what? Can't just keep making up names forever.

(What's an Rc10 called, now a days?)

Yeah I see your point, but the xt8 and xt9 are very similar with only a few changes but they felt the need to change the last number.

It's because the XT9 came out while the XB9 was current. They kept it consistent.
That said, they also said they were building an XT9E and it never saw production. I believe they will develop the 1/10 truck before the 1/8 truck. If that's true, it will be a while before we see it.

As soon as I have something solid to report I will.
But I like the sound of the above words in red
They can call it whatever they want IMO.

To your point Pickle, Martin did confirm the 1/10 truck. I don't run E or 1/10th but this is very interesting! one day i may have a whole fleet of xray's!

"If you think that you can take a rest at XRAY when you finish a project… well… you would be wrong. Already I am hard at work with the all-new XT2 – the new 1/10 stadium truck. Follow us on our social media accounts for all the latest news and exclusive information; I will bring some more insight into this all-new platform very soon. I will be travelling to all major races in the coming summer season, so do not hesitate to come to see me. Meanwhile enjoy the new XB8 and have fun!"

I'll be sure to post on the Xray forum that they should name the new truggy: "Truggy Mc Truggy Truck".

And if they do come out with a 2wd truck, then all they'll need to make a 2wd SCT is some bodymounts and a longer chassis. That'll be nice.
