Online RC races
Hey guys! I believe if you're looking for advice, this forum is the right place, correct?
I'd like to ask your opinion about an idea. Imagine you could open a web page (or a program on a pc for that matter) and connect to a rc car, which is somewhere far far away, and race someone from another part of the world on a custom track and in real time? Imagine you could also choose different tracks, different regions, different cars even, modify them for this specific track from a list of parts? My question is - would you? tl;dr Online real life real time rc car races, would you be intereted? |
not sure what you're getting at but VRC already made something similar
Could you provide a link? or a full name perhaps. Google gives pretty random stuff
I saw this one already, look cool, but the difference is, vrc is VIRTUAL, i am thinking about controlling real RC's
Would never work. Who's gonna Marshall? What would happen if they suddenly got disconnected? Full throttle runaway? Then you'd have a broken car from a kid 5000 miles away.
Perhaps limiting the speed to some extent would help?
Forget about the cars, the lag in connection would never work.
This is right on pace with Mylaps new 28,000 mile range personal transponder! :D
Awesome idea if you could get it to actually work. I would predict the expenses to be so astronomical that nobody would do it though. |
