The car comes universals instead of CVDs, which have less bind and are more consistent throughout their lifespan. They sell CVDs but very few use them.
The wear and durability is really good. With 7 gallons on the car, I have replaced the center dog bones, shock bladders and boots, shock standoff screws, hub bearings, and hinge pins. It will go another few gallons before a more thorough rebuild is needed.

Body Trimming
When trimming the body, try cutting well above the cut lines in the rear section. Just this small change makes the stock body look much better!

Hey gang,
Recently tried out the new "loose set up" JQ posted on his webpage ( http://jq-products.smugmug.com/THECa...ts/i-ggnz7dL/A . It felt ok. After the first tank I decided to move the shocks out 1 on the tower because the back end felt dead (only 325 in the back with white springs). Felt much better after that. I also raised the rear link to the top inside row. This gave me the rear traction I was looking for. I ran that change for a tank then decided I wanted a little more traction and changed the hub inserts to the +0.5/dot upsde down. Even better! BTW....this is a very loose track. I was running crossbraces/medium. Probably would have been better with softs.
But....no shortage of steering or push. Turns on a dime...maybe a little over`steer.

Enough powder on that track to really use up some air filters.

Good Luck with your build, like to see some clicks when she's done. Really intrigued to see this bug on the podium in the US.

And the last few. Dont give me too much shit over the paint job, was a bit of a fail, long story ha ha. Wasn't a fan of the body style at first, but its kind of grown on me now.

Not to doubt you had one, but the Falcon was released by Tamiya in 1986, I was deep into my 20's and had already gone through The Frog, The Fox and The Falcon, moved into a Grasshopper and from there went straight to the RC10T.
