Here's a quick question...

If the "Black Edition" is the next BIG car in the series, then what happens with this current thread "JQ Products "White Edition" ?

Will someone start a new official thread for the Black Edition, I wonder ? Seeing as this W.E. thread already has such a large following over the years.

*Insert thinking Raptor Meme here* LOL

Seems alot of other newly released models get a new thread so may as well for the new Black Edition as well. Easier to find info on the model you have that way.

Long or short arm on White Edition for slightly rough track with dusty surface, which way is best for stability & best rear traction.

Long arm will probably better, but I encourage you to try both

Thanks, I had it set with short arm & was getting around ok but had to be careful when exiting corners so will try the long arm & see how it goes.
I had already extended upper links which helped but not enough & have now also moved hubs 1 position forward from centre & layd shocks over 1 hole from centre on tower as well.

Has anyone fitted a longer rear chassis brace to the W.E, I bent a centre rear drive shaft yesterday & done the same on my Yellow Edition a while back as well, on the same track & probably the same jump, so would like to find something longer to help reduce the chassis flex.
Was thinking the new Black Edition brace will fit but its not available yet
I would have to drill a hole or 2 no doubt but thats ok.

Thanks Speedy, that looks alright & similar to something I had thought of making, although I was thinking the standard chassis brace could be mounted to it as well.
Not sure how easy it would be to get one of those sent to Australia but knowing it works is good so would be worth making one, maybe extending right to the rear diff though.

or try to screw a vertical plate to the original mounts same way..?

the Black edition brace should bolt on using 2 extra holes

I'll have to try a few things & see what I can come up with.
Will have to see if I can find a local shop that sells alloy 7075 rod or similar.

I'm making the exact same thing you're looking for as a part of a project of mine I'll be presenting in the next few days. It's an aluminium alloy rear brace which replaces the original plastic one, mounts the same way just with two screws on the chassis. Fits an original THE Car without mods, for a White Edition you'll just need to drill a new hole. Should be ready in a week or two, send me a PM if you're interested.
