Default Novarossi P5XL Pipe Reccomendation

Hey All,

Looking for a good tuned pipe for a P5XL. Looking for something with probably a fair amount of bottom end and mid range, not as concerned with the top end with the type of track I run on.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Thanks,

I'm using the Losi RE12. Affordable and tough. Runs great with good mileage. Everything I need and then some.

Nova 2084 is a great pipe, the new 2096 is supposed to be better but I haven't tried it. 9901 works pretty good too, it will soften the bottom end a touch and smooth things out.

theres tons of info, just search titles only for P5xlt (been there done that)

I just changed from the werks 2058 to a nova 9901 with a 41029 manifold (which is the same as the 41021 with a tighter bend for mugen).

2058 had insane top end, the thing friggen screamed but i wasnt happy with the bottom end.

switched over, without adjusting tune, bottom end was snappier, noticably easier clearing jumps out of tight corners. top end was a bit rich. leaned out the hsn about 2-3hrs and l was very happy. things still got plenty of smoke running about 235ish. byrons race 30%/9%

im a bit confused from your post... ive read (not tested) and have in my notes that 41001 is for bottom end, 41019 for top end... for my knowledge, am i mistaken? and what about the 41005?

thanks

Those are the three different double bend headers which change the running characteristics of the engine and pipe

i undertand the mechanics, I was just trying the verify the performance characteristics of the stated manifolds, high end, low end ect...

tlr re12 great all around pipe. and you cant beat the price.
want to make is scream. slap a 2013 or 2058 on it. makes it respond like a light switch.

9901 with long tube!
41020
if you use btt use 9901 or 2096
2096 + long engine
9901 + short engine

Shorter headers will provide more upper rpm and sometimes get the "on the pipe" feel quicker bug when put under a load at low rpm will fall flat

longer headers opposite , this is just a basic guideline for pipe tuning , when you have tried and tested so many combos you can see what each engine responds to in particular
