Mugen MBX7T

Any word if there will be a new MBX7 Truggy coming out this year? Or do I just go ahead and get a silver carbon 6?

merdith6 09-05-2013 11:40 AM

Hmm

Supposedly the 7T will be out this fall I would wait, but then again new truggies rarely appear but are merely discussed and hoped for.

I have it off pretty good sources that Mugen aren't looking at a new truggy as the truggy market has slowed. So for the foreseen future this is as close as it gets.

The TBX7-T chassis from TIX race developments is now ready for shipping. The TBX7-T chassis will convert your MBX6-T to the MBX7-T chassis layout.

The outcome will be a truggy with buggy like steering response and added stability over the stock MBX6-t. My test drivers have reported over a second drop in their average lap times and some report it to be like cheating in comparison to the stock layout. They report back as being easier to drive hard all over the track

To convert the this chassis you need the following MBX7 parts
1 E2108 Bushing Set Complete Buggy: MBX7
1 E0412 Side Stone Guards
1 E0806 Adjustable Servo Tie Rod
1 E2105 Front Upright: MBX7
1 E2107 Tension Rod/Body Mount/Front Upper Brace: MBX7
1 E2109 Alum. Front Hub Carrier Arm Mounts: MBX7
1 E2112 Alum. Front Suspension Arm Mount: MBX7
1 E2301 Servo Saver: MBX7
1 E2302 Radio Box: MBX7
1 E2303 Radio Tray Mounts/Battery Holder: MBX7
1 E2304 Graphite Radio Tray: MBX7
1 E2305 Servo Saver Shaft (2): MBX7
1 E2307 Ackerman Plate: MBX7
1 E2803 Steering/Throttle Servo Horns & Parts: MBX7
1 E0226 Front Center CVA Drive Shaft
1 E2306 Servo Save Pipe: MBX7
1 E2101 Center Diff Mount: MBX7
1 E2804 Pivot Ball: MBX7
1 E0703 One-Piece Engine Mount: MBX5
1 E2206 46T Spur Gear: MBX7
1 E2201 Differential Case: MBX7

Hey man no disrespect to you or what you do, but it seems to me that you're trying to sell this guy your chassis. I dont blame you for that, but thats how the above post came off to me.

X7T is not written off at all, it's still in development. This is directly from one of Mugen's top drivers. it may not be this Fall, that part is true, but it's still being worked on for sure and it is coming once it's ready.

Im not writing off a 7t. Just don't be surprised if you wait another year for it. They have other priorities in the pipeline ahead of the truggy.

This is just a chassis I offer that gives you the best of the 6t and 7b in one package

nickdawg18 09-06-2013 06:24 AM

I can wait

Ok guys I've had one of tix chassis for a few weeks now have run it on three events

It has so much more steering it would shame many buggies out there
There is pros and cons to this set up

I had spare mbx7 bits laying around as surplus parts

Now this chassis needs sometime worked on it in set up as it has so much steering
And so much natural rear grip it's amazing

But as said you do need to spend time working on it

Now to the performance I'm only half way there as far as set up is concerned
With a fair way to go to settle the truck down
But I'm with in the fast guys now witch I've never been before
And on average 1.5 2.5 seconds quicker a lap on my mbx6t and rc8t

It has the handling traits of the mbx7 buggy so if you can hold on its fast
I've had comments said to me saying I should not be allowed to run it

I know for sure from speaking to team drivers that this year there will be no mugen truggy

I think what tix has done here is create a truck combo that's has so much potential
If you really need a upgrade I deffently recommend trying this combo out

By the way I'm not sponsored by tix in any way and I purchased item

ok so there may not be a new truck this year , so what ! the 6T and 6tR handle awsome they way they are , it really all depends on how you set the truck up and how you drive it . now the new TIX chassis looks great and im sure helps tremedously, but at what cost, honestly i havent looked into all the mbx7 parts you have to buy just to convert the truck over but im guessing with the cost of the chassis and parts your looking into the $300 350 dollar range? thats just crazy when my cost ... maybe TIX can step in here and let us in on a deal here and throw some of us a bone on chassis deals

paposwing14 11-18-2013 07:45 PM

I would be interested on one.
