Default need help picking 1/8 buggy

First off im sixty years old and enjoy building and tuning these things I have hpi savage truck now and going 1/8 buggy the thing is there aren't many tracks close to me so I will not be racing competitively . Still I want a good dependable and durable buggy was looking at Losi 8ight 2.0 and outhers along that line. I would any input you can give thanks Phil

Losi is good, Team Associated RC8.2, Mugen is always good.. (and at least where I am always seems to have the best resale value..) I'd concentrate on those three.. There are other great racing buggies like X-ray, Kyosho, Serpent etc.., but they're all a bit more exotic. With Losi and AE you always have broad parts support and availability.

Whatever you can get parts for easily, suss out what seems to be popular in your area. Losi 2.0 would be a good choice as you suggested, but i would try to stretch out to a 3.0, 2.0 has parts galore wherever you go and tons of information available especially on Rc tech. Mugen mbx7 would also be a good pick, strong support everywhere.
