temp gun help
My odonnell took a crap, can't take readings on my truggy at the moment.
I see Amain has the spark and then there is nitro rcx/hobbyparts. Anyone try the nitro rcx gun? It is a handheld with a laser. I think it runs $22. Worth the change?

The little Duratrax Flashpoint seems to be alright.

If you have the money exergen is the way to go but very pricey. Buy once and never buy again.

Any luck using an Extech IR Temp gun? Buddy has one at the track. I concidered the spark, but would like to get away from temp gauges that use CR2032 batteries. The hobbypartz is likely a clone... that is a deterrent right there.

If you liked the O'Donnell temp gun, get the TrakPower temp gun. It's the same, just rebranded when the O'Donnell changes took place at Hobbico.

Wher is th best place to take temperatures at? I have noticed a HUGE difference between my glow plug and the exhaust manifold. My manifold said 230f and my glow plug said 280f.
Also what is to much?
As far as temperature gun goes I bought a cheapo on eBay that takes a 9v battery. I checked it against a highly accurate food thermometer and theywere within .5% of each other at varying degrees.
