Default Fuel tank for XT8

Do any other brands have a fuel tank that will fit an X Ray XT8? My LHS does not support X Ray but I thought I would inquire before i placed an amain order.
It can be a buggy or truggy tank as I know the X Ray buggy tank will also work on the truggy.

If your prepared to drill another set in of holes in your chassis the hb d8t tank might fit. The xt8 tank is longer than most other tanks

Thanks but no I don't want to drill new holes in the chassis. The mounting holes are already there to facilitate a smaller buggy tank but that's it. A main has the tanks on sale right now, I'll just have to wait.

I would drill the holes and use a HB tank..it is a much better tank then the old X-Ray tank............. Also a Losi tank may work....may have to drill a hole, but then you would have a clunk tank and much better tuning characteristics....

LOL,,.yes....Its uprising how tame the stock P5 is next to the modifieds the rest of us run........ However we will hold off till we get all the kinks out of your ride......If the stock engine is acting up with that fuel tank, a modified would bananas...............HB and Losi are both good clunk tanks that should make a substantial difference on how well your machine runs,........

I re-drilled my chassis and used the HB D8T tank. It allowed me to position the weight of the fuel tank further forward for better handling, and the tank also has a clunk. Took about 20 minutes total and was definitely worth the bit of extra work.

Thanks for the info guys. I will use either the HB or Losi tank, depending which one I can get a hold of first.

I am going to fit a Losi tank to the XT8. Does the Losi tank have the clunk already installed?
