Default Have you guys seen this track?

I can't tell you how pumped I am to have this facility within 20 or 30 minutes from my house. It's believed to be the largest RC track in North America. They had their grand opening this past weekend and I unfortunately couldn't make it, but I will soon.

Looks great. It's almost too big. I raced a few times at a track bigger than that (no longer exists) and it sucked. You couldn't see the far corners worth a damn. This looks like it should be good though, right at that upper limit.

I don't think I could see my buggy on the far side of the track. My radio may even loose reception at that distance. They should post beach umbrellas at the edges and water stations for the marshalls.

No complaints from anyone who raced there. Visibility is quite good from what I'm hearing.

Average fastest lap times were low 46 to mid 45 secs

Wish I could have made it but opening this new twin peaks is kicking my butt :-)

Track was great! No visibility issues, smooth flow, decent traction, and I was able to take home a cactus cup.

Looks like that track badly needs some water!

Raced at their opening race over the weekend and it was great! I didn't have any any issues with visibility. I heard a lot of other racers mentioning that it didn't feel like it was as big as it is. I had no issues with depth perception and never felt the track was to big. It was great to have 15 cars running in a race and it did not feel crowded at all.
I cannot wait to race there again next month!

Some pics I look of the race.

Is there an Electric 1/10th scales track in Austin also? I will be in town labor day weekend.

Track was a blast! Other than having freak, one in a million issues (brand new clutch bearings exploding, brand new pre-mounts tearing in half) in Pro truck and Pro buggy mains, it was a good weekend, haha. Track is really challenging in infield S turns and has some fun rhythm on the outer sections. Visibility is great and the facility is top notch. There were 4 of us that ran in the 44s or lower in truck and three in the 44s or lower in buggy. Racing was very even and exciting. I hear they have plans for some big races in the future so keep your eyes peeled!
