NEED HELP PLEASE!!!
1 Attachment(s)
hello fellow people
i am currently cleaning my buggy, and i found a grub screw that had come loose on this part(open attachment) and was wondering first of all what the part is called? and secondly any ideas on how to take it apart to get the screw out? if you can help i would highly appreciate it THANKYOU!!!! |
That is called an outdrive. Through the hole you can see the shaft which has a flat spot. Turn the frontwheels until the flat spot is shown and screw it.
|
The grub screw stops the outdrive spinning on the pinion shaft coming out of the diff housing, when you put the grub back in use blue (medium) threadlock so it stays there.
|
The problem is you will need to remove the rear diff and hold the pinon in place to make sure when you tighten down the grub screw the mesh between the pinion and ring gear is correct.
|
thanks for the help :) :)
